Supporting our communities matters to us. Through our sponsorship programme, we partner with local groups across our network, to support initiatives that make a positive difference for our communities.

We’ve proudly been the principal sponsor of the Otago Science and Technology Fair since 2004, and also support other programmes, projects and events that  help promote energy education, encourage young talent, and support community initiatives that bring people together.

We also support some events that focus on conversations about electrification, decarbonisation, and the future of energy – this is an important part of the work we do as an electricity network provider and key to how our communities will power their homes, businesses, and transport in the future.

You can read through our sponsorship criteria below to understand what we look for when considering new opportunities and read about the initiatives we currently support.
