Two New Appointments to Executive Leadership Team

Aurora Energy has announced the appointment of two new General Managers, Mark Pratt and Sian Sutton to its executive leadership team.

Mark Pratt has been appointed and commenced his role as General Manager Work Programming and Contracts and Sian Sutton has commenced her role as General Manager Customer and Engagement.

Mark is responsible for the forward programming of Aurora Energy’s network and managing contract delivery for the network.

Highly experienced, Mark brings extensive knowledge of electricity distribution, contract management and programme delivery to the role.

Mark has worked in the electricity industry for more than 30 years and prior to joining Aurora Energy in 2018, Mark worked in senior roles at Powerco in contract management and service delivery.

Mr Pratt said: “I am excited to take on this new role and continue working with the team at Aurora Energy to develop new service delivery arrangements and drive our future operating model, especially as we continue to move through a phase of network renewal.”

Sian Sutton joined the team at Aurora Energy this month and will be responsible for Aurora Energy’s customer experience, stakeholder engagement, communication and human resource management functions.

Sian most recently worked as the Director of Stakeholder Engagement at the Otago Regional Council and has been leading teams of communication and engagement professionals for over 15 years in various settings internationally and in New Zealand.

Ms Sutton said: “It has been clear to me from the outset that Aurora Energy is focused on engaging with their customers and I am very pleased to be joining the team during this time of renewal and playing a part in driving customer engagement.”;

Aurora Energy Chief Executive Richard Fletcher said “I’m really pleased that we have been able to attract high calibre and experienced leaders like Mark and Sian to join the Aurora Energy team.

“We are in the early stages of a major programme of network renewal and investment to ensure our network is safe and reliable and the business meets the future needs of our customers.”
