This work will benefit the 1,500 customers in the Brighton and East Taieri Mouth community
Customer impact
Eight full-day power outages will be required to complete this work, and we have spaced these out to reduce the impact on the community as much as possible.
They are scheduled for every Tuesday from mid-October through to beginning of December (avoiding the Tuesday following Labour Day).
Please be aware that different customer groups will be impacted on different Tuesdays.
Community support
We understand the impact a high number of outages has on communities, however when undertaking this work power outages must occur to ensure the safety of our contractors and the public.
To support the community during this period, we have hired the Brighton Community Hall (8 Taylor Street, Brighton), and will be generating the hall during all eight power outages from 9am – 4:30pm.
Locals will be able to have access to water and toilet facilities during the day. There will also be kitchen facilities available, coffee/tea, access to hot water, fridges for food storage and medication, and a place for people to come and charge their phones/devices. Members of the Aurora Energy team will also be at the hall for the duration.
